Connie Chiume has been gracing our screens for dec rates, and her charming way of keeping fans glued to their screens has made her famous today. Testament to her skills, when there was a rumour that she was going to leave the show, fans of the show threatened not to watch the show. She is, without a doubt, the reason why Gomara has a considerable following.

Mzansi has fallen in love with her gangster role on Gomora, and they can not afford to skip an episode. Onset, she is involved in some car hijacking business, and she wants to start a new life as a Christian, but her past is hunting her down. Although she is that gangster granny actress we all love to hate, she is also an academic intellectual.

Connie Chiume’s real-life occupation shocks Mzansi

The actress did her matric in the Eastern Cape, and she graduated with good grades. After finishing her matric, Connie Chiume registered for nurse aid training. She underwent the training for less than three months and later switched to teaching. She graduated with her teaching degree in 1976, and she started teaching at a local secondary school and later moved to Isreal for greener pastures.

Connie started teaching English classes at one of the foreign secondary schools in Isreal. After living abroad for ten years, she discovered her calling in acting, and she pursued it.

In 1986 she moved back to South Africa, and she won her first acting gig on Zone 14 as Stella Moloi. She nailed her role to perfection on Zone 14, and since then, she has been winning big in her career. Not only is she famous in South Africa, but she is spreading her wings globally. Connie recently made headlines after she bagged a gig on Black Panther, an international movie.

Although the actress is making a living from her acting career, she is still doing extra lessons in the backyard of her house. She enjoys teaching English and Mathematics during her free time. Many students from her neighbourhood usually come to her for extra lessons classes.
