Gomaa: Mosimane Not The Best In Ahly History

Al Ahly legend Wael Gomaa says Pitso Mosimane cannot be considered the best coach in the history of the Egyptian giants.

The former defender who won 29 titles with the Red Devils over 13 years is widely considered as their greatest-ever defender who formed part of their Golden Generation.

He also won three Africa Cup of Nations titles with the Egypt national team during the glittering period of Egyptian football.

Speaking on BeIn Sports he stated he feels his former coach Manuel Jose should still be considered the greatest coach in Ahly history, despite Mosimane being on course to break several records.

“Mosimane is not the best head coach in Al Ahly history, Manuel Jose is,” the Ahly legend said, as per KingFut.

“I owe Jose a lot, he helped me a lot and he was the reason I joined Al Ahly in the first place. He trusted me and I learned a lot from him.”

Mosimane has won back to back CAF Champions League titles, the Egypt Cup and back to back CAF Super Cups as well as two bronze medals at the FIFA Club World Cup.
