TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango has reflected on the club’s European tour in Turkey and shared what he has learned.
The Mpumalanga-based outfit has already played its first friendly match against Giresunspor yesterday.
Galaxy shared the spoils with the Turkish side following their 1-all draw on the day.
After the first game, Msimango stated that he managed to gauge where he is in terms of his abilities as a footballer compared to Europeans.
He further said that he is willing to learn even more from the next upcoming friendlies against the Italian side Sampdoria and Al Batin of Saudi Arabia.
WHAT GIVEN MSIMANGO HAS PICKED UP SO FAR…
“Given the fact that this is my first European experience, I’m trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can to help to take my game to the next level,” Msimango told The Rockets’ media department.
“Since we have had our first friendly, I’m able to cage where I’m at in terms of my footballing abilities compared to the European standards.
“And I was very happy with my performance as I can grow from there.
“The training methods we use here as well are much different to what we use back home in South Africa. Watching these European teams train you can tell the standards are high.
“For me, as a footballer is always good to learn and observe which can always help and boost my career,” added the Galaxy defender.
