Former ‘The Bachelor SA’ star Lee Thompson now homeless, booked into rehab

Former rugby player and reality star Lee Thompson made headlines a few years ago after appearing on M-Net’s reality dating show, ‘The Bachelor South Africa‘. Lee charmed Mzansi with his incredible looks and chiselled physique, becoming the most loved Bachelor on the reality show. However, since starring in The Bachelor in 2019, Lee Thompson’s life seems to have gone downhill to the extent of becoming homeless.

‘The Bachelor’ star Lee Thompson is now homeless

The star has been trending after the news that he is now staying in the streets of Cape Town went viral. Lee became homeless after he was thrown out of a guest house he stayed at on Buitenkant Street, which he vandalized and attempted to break into earlier this month.

The guest house rented for R300 a day since March 2022 was packed with filth ranging from used condoms and liquor bottles to broken items. The flame exploded from the room, and the owner of the house became angry and described Lee as a pigsty human. The guest house owner then decided to throw Lee Thompson out of his house.

After he was kicked out of where he was cohabitating, his family and friends tracked Lee down, and he was found at the Culemborg Safe 2-night shelter. According to Huisgenoot magazine, family and friends have taken Lee Thompson to a rehabilitation centre in Gauteng.
Well, it’s not the first time that the star is going to rehab, it’s his second time, and his family members are scared he might not stay long enough.

South Africans are remorseless for Lee Thompson being homeless

After the news that Lee Thompson was struggling to make ends meet, South Africans reacted to the story negatively. It looks like they are not sorry for him and can’t even hide it.

Thompson scammed Mzansi when he said he would reveal the good and alarming truth about The Bachelor’s South Africa reality show. Many people paid for his no-existent Tell-All Memoir, The Truth Behind the Rose.

Fans pre-ordered the memoir through the link Thompson shared on his Twitter, but the book was never published. To make matters worse, he never refunded the money, and he never gave an apology for the reason why he couldn’t publish the book as promised.

@pinkbeautyqueenc wrote: “Why are y’all still so nice to Lee he literally swindled thousands of people out of prepayments for his book. Stop being gullible people.”
