Former Chiefs Man Scores First Goal For New Club
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Anthony Akumu Agay opened his account for Sagan Tosu in Asia.
Agay was released by Amakhosi ahead of the 2022/23 season after spending two campaigns with the club.
The Kenyan international moved to Asia to join Sagan Tosu in December and made his debut at beginning of March when domestic football restarted.
The 30-year-old hasn’t featured in any of the club’s league games, but made his second appearance for the club in a League Cup fixture against Jubilo Iwata.
It only took him six minutes to score his first ever goal on Asian soil, helping his side to a 2-1 win.
It was Tosu’s first win in the League Cup this campaign after they had previously picked up a draw and defeat, with Agay’s a big boast for the side.
