Former Bafana Bafana assistant coach resign as the Lesotho coach

Thabo Senong, a former South African under-20 coach, resigned as the Senior National Team Coach for Lesotho with a re-alignment home.

Only a week before Likuena will take part in the Cosafa Cup tournament at Mzansi, Senong offered his resignation to the Lesotho Football Association.



Since joining Lesotho back in 2019, the former Amajita instructor failed, recording only seven draws and six losses in his 13 leading games.

The Leslie Notsi will take over Likuena for the upcoming regional tournament, according to a statement made by Lesotho FA.



“NEC accepted the heavy-heart resignation letter as Senong’s replacement is obliged to join the team a week before the competition,” read part of LFA’s statement on Friday.

Senong was associated with a return to South Africa, where the DStv premiership bound Sekhukhune United is rumored to have offered a good offer.
