Gift of the Givers says it’s assisting residents of an informal settlement in Dunoon after a fire broke out.
It says a fire swept through the Doornbach informal settlement in the Western Cape, destroying a number of structures.
The group says it was contacted by community members informing it they had no food or water.
Teams have been dispatched to the area to assess the damage.
They’ll also be bringing hot water and bottled water to community members after their appeal for help.
