Erasmus Sends Message To Downs After Deadline Day Exit

Kermit Erasmus has sent a message to Mamelodi Sundowns and it’s fans after his surprise Deadline Day move to Orlando Pirates.

The 32-year-old completed a free transfer to the Buccaneers after agreeing to terminate his Sundowns contract, which was only expiring in May, as confirmed by the club.

He returned to Orlando Stadium after leaving the Sea Robbers in 2016 for a move abroad, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.

After Downs confirmed the details around his exit, Romeo, as he’s affectionally known, took to social media to send a message to his former club and fans.

“To the Masandawana, the Chairman and the Motsepe family, thank you for the great two years I spent at an amazing football Club,” he wrote on social media.

“The family is what makes this Club, humility, respect and humbleness. To the coaches thank you for having worked with you. To my teammates I’m going to miss you…

“I wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

“Thank you Masandawana, Romeo.”
