England and France confirmed their starting lineups for this evening’s quarterfinal at Al Bayt Stadium.

The Three Lions have had a decent run coming into this important clash after scoring 12 goals in four games they’ve played.

It’s been 56 years since they last won this prestigious trophy. The new generation of England have a lot of pressure to finally ‘bring it home’. Raheem Sterling who recently left the camp for a brief period for personal reasons, and it was in doubt if he would re-join the camp. Meanwhile, Harry Kane looks to add more to his international caps.

The defending Champions France have only failed to score in one game in this tournament and still have a chance to be the first country to defend the title since 1962 when it was done by Brazil after winning in 1958.

Didier Deschamps’ team are capable of making history, especially with the likes of Olivier Giroud who recently became the French all-time leading goalscorer and superstar Kylian Mbappe has been too hot to handle and is the current top goalscorer in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Here’s the lineups:

England XI: Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw; Henderson, Rice, Bellingham; Saka, Kane, Foden

France XI: Lloris, Koundé, Varane, Upamecano, Hernandez, Griezmann, Tchouaméni, Rabiot, Dembélé, Giroud, Mbappé
