Ellis – One Game At A Time

Ahead of today’s semi-final against Zambia, Banyana Banyana Head Coach Desiree Ellis has said that while winning the WAFCON is one of their objectives, they will take it one game at a time.

Ellis was speaking at the pre-match press conference, alongside Jermaine Seoposenwe, who scored the goal that saw Banyana achieve their first objective, qualifying for the World Cup, after their 1-0 win over Tunisia in the quarter-finals.

Banyana are unbeaten in Morocco, having won all four of their matches played so far.

Ellis has said winning the WAFCON is one of Banyana’s objectives, but they will not ahead of themselves, and are fully focussed on the semi-final first.

“It is our second objective,” Ellis said at the press conference.

“But as Jermaine said, it’s one game at a time. If you look too far ahead, you lose focus on the task at hand and the first task at hand is Zambia.

“We need to get over that hurdle first before you can think of later.

“So we focusing fully on the match, to get a positive result. And then we will worry about what happens after. It’s one game at a time and one day at a time.”
