Driver dies after car crashes into swimming pool

The driver of a car that plunged into a residential swimming pool on Friday morning in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, has died.

Emer-G-Med Paramedics spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said the car crashed through a boundary fence and landed in a residential swimming pool.

When paramedics arrived the car was found upside down inside the pool with the driver still trapped.

Once freed, paramedics found that the man was already dead, he said.

Van Reenen added police were at the scene to investigate the circumstances around the incident.
