Downs To Lose Striker To Europe?

A young striker could leave Mamelodi Sundowns before making his official first-team debut for the DStv Premiership champions.

Etiosa Ighodaro, the 21-year-old Nigerian who joined the club from Abuja College and also spent time in Italy before making his switch to South Africa, comes highly rated but has struggled with injuries over the past 12 months.

Last season he scored four league goals in 18 games (14 starts) in the Motsepe Foundation Championship while on loan at AmaTuks but has still managed to attract interest from Partizan Belgrade.

With two years still remaining on his contract, Sundowns will be due a fee, should any move materialise for the player.
