Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Haashim Domingo is close to joining Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic.

Domingo, 27, will leave Masandawana at the end of the month after the club couldn’t agree onto a new deal with the player, as reported by SABC Sport.

With Domingo looking for a new club, iDiski Times has learnt that he is set to join three-time CAF Champions League winners Raja ahead of next season.

“We will sign Domingo. It’s as good as done,” a source told this publication.

Domingo joined Sundowns from Bidvest Wits in 2020, making 57 appearances for the club during which he scored five goals and set up seven more.

He featured in 17 games across all competitions this campaign and head coach Rulani Mokwena was understood to be on retaining his services.

However, after the club and Domingo couldn’t agree onto a new deal, it seems the lure of Raja has convinced the attacking midfielder to move to Morocco, with only finer details in his contract still to be ironed out.

Domingo won three DStv Premiership titles, one Nedbank Cup trophy and one MTN8 trophy during his time with Masandawana.
