Connie Chiume is beaming with pride after winning another award at the Joburg Film Festival. The celebrated actress took to her Instagram timeline to share her success with fans. Speechless Chiume wrote:

Gomora actress Connie Chiume is currently a woman of the moment and has been bagging several awards one after the other. In 2022 she secured three-lifetime medals complemented by international recognition.

She received a lifetime achievement award at the fourth annual GQ Men of The Year Awards on December 10  at The Leonardo in Sandton in association with Hennessy VSOP Privilège and Standard Bank South Africa.

Connie Chiume won the SAFTAS Lifetime Achievement Award, a milestone many actors can only dream of. On top of that, she won another Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards’ HAPA’.

Receiving a notable mention from the Honourable Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthetwa, Connie Chiume joins an illustrious list of previous Lifetime Achievers, including Thoko Ntshiga, Thembi Mtshali and Lydia Mokgokoloshi.

Besides winning three-lifetime awards in 2022, Connie Chiume was featured in the hit movie Black Panther Wakanda Forever 2.
