CONFIRMED: Fernandes signs new deal with Man Utd | Breaking News

Manchester United have confirmed the contract extension of midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese international new deal will see him stay at Old Trafford until June 2026, with the option to extend for a further year.

Fernandes has contributed 49 goals and 39 assists in just 117 games for the Red Devils.

The midfielder joined the United from Sporting back in January 2020 on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

He scored two goals for Portugal this week on his 42nd international appearance against North Macedonia, as he helped to seal his country’s place at the 2022 Fifa World Cup.

“From the moment that I joined Manchester United, I have had a special relationship with the club and our amazing fans,” said the 27-year-old footballer.

“I grew up watching this team, dreaming of getting the chance to play here one day.

“That dream is now a reality and an honour.”
