Cape Town City have secured the future of highly-rated midfielder Jaedin Rhodes on a new five-year contract.
Rhodes, 20, was recently awarded the club’s Young Player of the Season honour and has subsequently been rewarded with a new contract.
He featured 18 times under head coach Eric Tinkler this season and notched up two assists and what is considered his breakthrough season at the club.
Having made his first-team debut in the league against Kaizer Chiefs in February 2022, Rhodes has been eased into the senior team, and featured in the DStv Diski Challenge for a couple of months after.
But after some incredible progression, alongside Luke Daniels (19), Taahir Goedeman (22), Luyolo Slatsha (20), Luphumlo Sifumba (17), Kajally Drammeh (19), Brice Ambina (21) looks set to form part of a bright new future at the DHL Stadium next season.
This website understands that 20-year-old defender Patrick Fisher has also extended his stay by a further two years.
