Chiefs Star Called Up To Bafana

Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley Du Preez has been called up the Bafana Bafana squad to replace Lyle Foster.

Du Preez, 25, was another late call-up after Siyanda Xulu already replaced Thibang Phete.

However, unlike Xulu, it’s Du Preez’s first ever call up to the national team after the started the 2022/23 campaign with two goals and one assist in six appearances for Kaizer Chiefs.

The speedy striker completed a transfer from Stellenbosch FC to Kaizer Chiefs this transfer window, after a stellar campaign in 2021/22.

On Tuesday, Bafana confirmed Du Preez’s call-up via their social channels.
