Carling Black Label have announced the latest voting updates ahead of the Carling Cup on 12 November, with Khama Billiat dropping out of the Kaizer Chiefs XI, while Goodman Mosele is currently snubbed by Orlando Pirates fans.

The supporters of both rivals are looking forward to another Soweto derby on 12 November – just 13 days after facing each other in the derby in the DStv Premiership.

However, for the derby in the Carling Cup both sets of fans can currently vote for their favourite starting XIs, with Amakhosi fans being the most active among the voters. Itumeleng Khune has remained the run-away leader with 67,159 votes, followed by Keagan Dolly with 24,377 and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana who replaced Khama Billiat in the line-up with 22,972 votes.

Other notable inclusions are Eric Mathoho with 14,133 votes Nkosingiphile Ngcobo with 9,718 votes and Njabulo Ngcobo with 9,026 votes.

Kermit Erasmus is currently leading the voting with 20,469 votes, just slightly ahead of Richard Ofori with 20,130 votes. Thembinkosi Lorch has received the third-most votes for the Buccaneers with 14,123, while Mosele has dropped out of the latest XI.

The Mamelodi Sundowns XI for their semi-final against AmaZulu has remained unchanged, with Peter Shalulile receiving the most votes with 13,788. Ronwen Williams follows in second place with 8,938 votes, with Abubeker Nasir, who is currently sidelined with injury, sitting in third place with 5,924 votes.

AmaZulu still follow far behind in terms of the voting, with their best player, Veli Mothwa, receiving only 2,646 votes. Gabadinho Mhango with 1,895 and Lehlonolo Majoro with 1,785 complete Usuthu’s top three.

The Carling Black Label cup will take place on 12 November, when Usuthu and Downs meet in the first semi-final before Pirates and Chiefs face off in a Soweto Derby in the second.

The winners of the two ties will meet each other in the final on the same day.
