The Confederation of African Football has announced the quarter-final draw dates for the 2022/23 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

With only one match left in both CAFCL and CAFCC, CAF confirmed that the draw will be conducted on Wednesday 05 April 2023 in Cairo.

Seven teams have already secured their CAFCL quarter-final tickets, namely defending champions Wydad Athletic Club, 2016 winners Mamelodi Sundowns, JS Kabylie, Raja Athletic Club, Simba SC, Esperance Tunis and CR Belouizdad

The only remaining spot will be decided on Saturday evening in Cairo between Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC and record winners Al Ahly SC. Florent Ibenge’s side only need a draw to make it through to the next round, while the Red Devils need to a win to secure their spot in the knockout stages.

In CAFCC six teams are going into the final group stage round knowing that they have a place in the quarter-finals and three spots remain up for grabs.

Surprisingly Marumo Gallants who are sitting at bottom in the DStv Premiership have made it through to the next round, where they are joined by Rivers United, ASEC Mimosas, FAR Rabat, Young Africans and US Monastir.

The draw for the CAFCL and CAFCC quarter-finals will take place in Egypt at 20h30 local time (18h30 GMT and 21h30 East African Time) on Wednesday.
