Broos: Mobbie and Lakay To Face France

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has offered a hint on how they could line up against FIFA World Cup champions France on Tuesday.

South Africa will face Les Blues at a capacity 50,000 Stade Pierre-Mauroy against a side on an eight-match unbeaten run and 65 places higher in the official rankings.

Having drawn 0-0 with Guinea in their first friendly game which is used as preparation for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers in June, Broos admits there will be changes from that starting line-up where the likes of Bandile Shandy, Khuliso Mudau and Athenkosi Mcaba all received international debuts.

“There will be a different team, there will not be 11 different players but there will be a different team, as I said before this camp I will give all players minutes so we started already against Guinea,” he said.

“Against France maybe a little bit less, because the opponent is much better also but there will be new players again like Mobbie, Lyle Lakay. So they will play against France because I want to give them a chance to show their qualities.”

Bafana will kickoff their clash against the European giants in Lille on Tuesday evening at 21h15.
