Broos Admits Some PSL Players Not Good Enough

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was not happy at all with the display of several of his players in the 1-0 win over Botswana.

The Belgian tactician saw his side pick up their second win this international break but was still not happy due to a much more tamed performance.

After the match, Broos expressed his unhappiness, insisting that some of the DStv Premiership players in his squad are not up to the required standard.

“First of all I’m happy with the victory, this was something that was a goal for us in this camp, to have two victories and we have them,” Broos said in the press conference after the match.

“[It brings] satisfaction and happiness but on the other side I’m not happy with the performance today. This is not what we expected.

“I think it’s clear that some players are maybe not good enough or are not able to bring what you have to do on this level. PSL is something but International games are tougher, are quicker, are different.

“Therefor also I chose to have two teams to see what those teams can do, what the players can do. Again, today I’m not happy with it, I’m really not happy, but we won and that’s the most important thing.”
