Bafana Win In Comoros – iDiski Times

Bafana Bafana take an advantage into next week’s second leg CHAN qualifying game as they beat Comoros 1-0 at the Stade de Maluzini on Friday evening.

It was a goalless first half in Comoros, with the better chances falling to the visitors, but they were unable to really test the Islanders’ goalkeeper. It wasn’t all one way traffic though as the hosts threatened on the counter a number of times.

Comoros almost opened the scoring early in the second half, if not for an outstanding save by Bafana and Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper Lincoln Vyver.

But the best chances continue to fall to the South Africans, who for the most camped in Comoros’ half, with Chumani Butsaka causing a lot of problems for the hosts.

However, on at least two more occasions, Comoros did get chances to test Vyver again, but the young goalkeeper made good saves.

It was Bafana who finally broke the deadlock with fifteen minutes to go to take a 1-0 lead, and that is how the match ended.

The second leg will be played next weekend in South Africa
