Bafana Bafana face a nervy wait for the outcome of their manager who is now in hot water with CAF and could face disciplinary action.

Bafana team manager Vincent Tseka is awaiting his punishment from CAF, according to iDiskiTimes. This, after being shown red for a heated altercation on the sidelines during SA’s 2-1 win over Liberia in Monrovia.

Meaning, he could face suspension or a fine. Here’s all the details.

BAFANA MANAGER IN HOT WATER WITH CAF

Tseka was frustrated with some calls that Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea made during their crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia.

Eventually, he lashed out, reportedly swearing at officials in frustration.

Now, he will have to face consequences for his actions and poor language used against the officials. SAFA president Danny Jordaan confirmed that he will face punishment and that the matter is out of his and SAFA’s hands.

“That is not a SAFA matter and all the regulations, disciplinary procedures belong to CAF,” Jordaan stated on the same publication.

“We cannot jump to CAF and start (our own proceeding). If the player is sent off there (in CAF tournament), CAF will discipline him,” he confirmed.

FORMER SAFA CEO TO HAND OUT TSEKA’S PUNISHMENT

Former SAFA CEO Raymond Hack, who is now the president of CAF’s legal team, will decide what punishment Tseka will face.

He leads a team of eight legal body members from all over Africa.

They are: Youssouf Ali Djae (Comoros), Mustapha Samugabo (Burundi), Issa Sama (Burkina Faso), Petro Neto (Angola), Pedro Alphonse Ayema (Benin), Badji Monbo (Congo), Soudatou Djallo- Kalkaba (Cameroon) and Boubacar Karamoko Coulibaly (Mali).
