AmaZulu set to axe Bafana Bafana legend – report

AmaZulu are reportedly not done wielding the axe with reports coming out of Durban claiming that they could sack a Bafana Bafana legend.

According to a report by FarPost, Siyabonga Nomvethe may not be at AmaZulu next season as the club is reportedly considering to fire him.

Nomvethe was part of the AmaZulu first team until the appointment of Romain Folz as head coach, and the former Bafana Bafana attacker was demoted to the DStv Diski Challenge team.

His position in the first team was taken by Ayanda Dlamini who has since been fired by the club despite only being in charge for short period.

“Impeccable sources told FARPost that Bafana legend Siyabonga Nomvethe is set to leave the club.

“The former striker is likely to be cut into the wilderness when his contract expires on June 30.”

ROYAL AM MAKE DECISION ON ORLANDO PIRATES LEGEND

Royal AM have reportedly made a decision on an Orlando Pirates legend whose contract was coming to an end on 30 June.

Thabo Matlaba will remain at Royal AM beyond June after Shauwn Mkhize’s club offered him a one-year deal until June 2024, according to KickOff.

Matlaba has been with Thwihli Thwahla since January 2022 following his surprise exit from Swallows FC.

And the veteran full-back has been nothing but a stalwart in that Royal AM team alongside the likes of Elias Pelembe.
