All Stars FC CEO and assistant coach Morgan Mamilla has vowed to take the club to the South African topflight next season. The recently relocated and rebranded team from Cape Town to Johannesburg finished third in the 2021/22 season.

Their hopes of promotion we dashed in the PSL Promotion/Relegation playoffs after finishing at the bottom of the log with four points from four matches.

“I’m going to help take this team to the DStv Premiership. By November 4, when we close for the World Cup, our hope is that we will be in the top 4,” Mamilla told SNAWA.

“There is no more Cape Town All Stars. The team has been moved to Johannesburg and is renamed All Stars now. Johannesburg is the hub of everything and players.”

Following the relocation and rebranding, the CEO stated that the club would have a new coach. At this point, they have no players. However, they are working on that and are confident deals will be completed soon before the new season starts.

“Our coach will be revealed soon; he is a coach who has been in football. He will be revealed during the last week of this month. I will continue with my coaching badges; being an assistant coach ignited something in me.”

“I have one player at the moment, the rest contracts expired, and others left. We will look at players who are not being given an opportunity in their teams. We are going to get players who are hungry and are ready to play football, but if players are not hungry and don’t want success, there is nothing you can do.”

“We will have all our players registered in time for the start of the season. The coach has given me a list of the players that he wants, and we are going to acquire the players based on that,” he concluded.
