Published

on

Al Ahly have now dropped more points in 10 league games since Pitso Mosimane left than ‘Jingles’ had dropped in the first 16 matches in charge.

The ‘Club of the Century’ are continuing to stumble towards the end of their season, dropping points on Saturday evening again.

Al Ahly only managed to collect a goalless against 16th-place Al Mokawloon, failing to close their gap on log leaders Zamalek.

It could’ve been three points but Ali Maaloul missed a first-half penalty, meaning Al Ahly have now dropped 12 points in 10 league matches since Mosimane left, while the South African coach had only dropped 11 points in his first 16 games of the season.

Percy Tau was still not back in the match day squad, Luis Miquissone played the full 90 minutes.

Al Ahly now sit on 55 points, eight behind leaders Zamalek, who have one game in hand. Ricardo Soares’ side have four games remaining, while Zamalek only have three more matches.

Fagrie Lakay’s Pyramids have remained in second place, four points behind Zamalek.
