In June 2022, the 47-year-old manager moved abroad for the first time in his career, paying €250,000 to release himself from his Gil Vicente contract ahead of his new deal with the Red Devil.
He also coached teams such as G.D. Chaves, C.D. Aves, S.C. Covilhã, Moreirense FC just to mention a few.
