The actor we all love to hate comes from a wealthy family. Nay Maps was born and bred in Pretoria. He is the first son of late Bishop Simeon Maphalala and his wife. He was raised by parents that valued education in one’s life. His parents ensured he had the best education as they wanted their son to be a graduate.
Nay Maps did his primary school at the Sunnyside Primary School and his high school at Lyttleton Manor High School. Lyttleton Manor High School is one of the best high schools in Gauteng province; it’s famous for its high pass rate.
Nay Maps passed his matric with good grades to be a trophy son to his parents. After passing his matric, he registered for tertiary education at the University of Pretoria, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a major in programming and software.
After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Information and Technology, Nay Maps struggled to secure a job in the competitive entertainment world. However, fortune favours the bold he later got his first job at Channel ANN7 television series known as The Lifestyle Show. He worked for Channel ANN7 for several years and later ditched the show after gagging an acting gig on Uzalo as Mxolisi.
He killed his role to perfection as Mxolisi, the car hijacking master on Uzalo, evidenced by him bagging acting gigs one after the other.
