She was born in Wartburg in KwaZulu-Natal on the 2nd of February 1992 into a big family. She has three full siblings- two older brothers and a younger sister and ten half-siblings from her father’s side.
When she was only four years old, her father passed on leaving her and her siblings in the care of her single mother.
While not much is not known about Nelisa Mchunu’s mother and brothers, her little sister- Londeka Mchunu has been following in her footsteps and she has made a name for herself in Mzansi’s showbiz.
