Nigerians and South Africans are at war over Amapiano genre following the Hamba Wena copyright infringement saga.

The conflict isn’t new, as the two countries have gone against each other on social media over ownership of the genre.

It is without doubt that the genre is originated in South Africa, however, Nigerians are claiming that they made the sound go global.

On Thursday, the conflict got reignited after SA music producer Deep London took legal action against Nigerian artist Smada for sampling the hit song, Hamba Wena.

Nigerians entered the defensive mode and went as far as slandering South Africans.

Mzansi didn’t keep mute as they utilised every effort to protect their genre.
