Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has insisted Amakhosi will not sign Gabadinho Mhango but will announce another new striker soon.

Mhango, 30, seems on his way out at AmaZulu, with new head coach Pablo Franco Martin not planning with him, as reported earlier by iDiski Times.

There are rumours that Mhango has agreed terms with the Glamour Boys, but Bobby Motaung dismissed those on Saturday.

“I don’t have names at the moment. Kaizer Jr. deals with the names, I deal with the team, the whole team, the football environment,” he told SuperSport TV on the sidelines of Chiefs’ friendly against Township Rollers.

“But no Gabadinho Mhango but we are trying to beef up our striking force. We’ve got two, three injuries in the striking department,so we’re trying to beef up that department.

“Not Gabadinho Mhango but Kaizer Jr. will announce, soon.”

Bobsteak is also excited about Chiefs’ new season, calling it a “new journey” where fans must come out in masses to support that team.

“It’s about the journey, the Kaizer Chiefs journey and the vision also,” he added.

“We’ve brought in qualify players and we’re still going to look at enhancing as well. It’s a journey, a game-changer.

“I mean Kappa, new family, new players, new Kaizer Chiefs. I love this [points at sold-out crowd], I love supporters, I love what I’m seeing here.

“It’s a new journey, we need positive energy this season. It’s about following you the team, supporting the team holistically, we’re going to do it for them.”
