IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

Yellow Level 1 warning for Waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels and person water craft is expected between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

ADVISORIES:

An intense cold front is expected to reach the western parts of the Western Cape later on Tuesday moving into the Eastern Cape on Wednesday extending into the central interior, reaching KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday. The public is advised that very cold conditions will set in over the interior of the Cape Provinces on Wednesday with possible snowfalls on the high grounds spreading towards KwaZulu-Natal and the Drakensberg by Thursday.

Northern Cape

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Wind: – The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly reaching fresh to strong by late afternoon.

Western Cape

Temperature: Partly cloudy along the coast with fog in the morning and the evening, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly in the west, otherwise light to moderate northerly to north-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape

The Western half: Partly cloudy in places along the coast, otherwise fine and cool.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly.

The Eastern half: Fine and cool.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming moderate south westerly in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal

Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle north-westerly, becoming moderate north-easterly from midday.
