Baroka CEO – No Bad Blood With Moloi But…

Baroka FC Chief Executive Officer Richard Mashabane has explained the redeployment of head coach Bushy Moloi at the Limpopo Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The decision has subsequently put Moloi’s assistant Stan Nkoane in charge of the side for the reminder of the season with Moloi going to be the technical advisor, as previously reported by iDiski Times.

Nkoane won his first game in charge 1-0 at home against Black Leopards this past weekend.

The administrator further says Bakgaga may need a new coach altogether next season, if they survive this term, with Baroka currently sitting 11th on the log with 29 points in 25 matches.

Mashabane maintains relations between Moloi and the club are good.

“There are no issues between us and coach Bushy. The thing is that the team was not collecting points and we had to make some changes seeing coach Stan doing very well in training and having good relationship with the players,” said Mashabane.

“We thought why not give him a chance and change coach Bushy to be a ‘football manager’ where he will be concentrating much on our development side which is the LFA and the SAB league teams. Coach Stan can continue assisting coach Job Maphutha and Mathari Motupa.

“I think this game [against Leopards] is motivating us a lot. We still need four points to be safe and we are left with five games. Anything is still possible.

“We have three games at home and two away, so if we collect four points we will be safe and we don’t want this issue of coach Moloi to affect us.

“It’s not the first situation where you find a team putting a coach on leave, so we believe that coach Stan will do well. He has our support, my support, the chairman’s and the management’s support so this is for the whole team because we want to make sure that next season we are playing in the Motsepe Foundation league.”
