Al Hilal SC and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s CAF Champions League in Sudan.
Already-qualified Sundowns have a task on their hands to remain undefeated in the group stages of the CAF Champions League but it won’t be an easy task as they face Florent Ibenge’s side that have been a powerhouse at home.
The 2016 CAF Champions League winners aim to continue with their impressive run under the leadership of Rulani Mokwena, who is yet to lose a game, going 19 games unbeaten so far (17 wins and 2 draws).
The defending DStv Premiership champions might have qualified but there’s still a lot at stake.
Downs know that a loss would send Al Hilal to the quarter-finals at the expense of record-champions Al Ahly, but they would climb above the Masandawana on the log, with the log leaders after the group stages having the advantage of playing the first leg of the quarter-final away from home.
This game will be closely watched as Al Ahly fans, who’ll hope for Sundowns win after the Egyptian giants beat Coton Sport 4-0 on Friday to move to seven points on the log.
These two sides have met on seven occasions already, with the Masandawana winning their last six clashes, including a 4-2 away during last season’s group stages.
Here is how they line up:
Al Hilal XI:
Sundowns XI: Williams, B. Onyango, Mudau, Mvala, Mobiba, Mokoena, Allende, Zwane, Maema, Mailula, Shalulile
Subs: D. Onyango, Lebusa, Kutumela, Mkhulise, Mbule, Saavedra, Morena, Ralani, Mashego
