Pitso Climbs To Top Of The Log

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahli Saudi side climbed to the top of the First Division after a comfortable 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Al Ahli faced 10th-placed Al-Jabalain and collected their third successive win thanks to a brace by Haitham Mohammed Asri and a third by Al-Moasher.

After beating then second-placed Al-Faisaly and then leaders Al Hazem, Al Ahli had already climbed into the promotion spot with one game in hand.

On Tuesday, they played their final catch-up game and climbed to 34 points on the log, level with Al-Faisaly but ahead based on the better goal difference.

Overall, ‘Jingles’ has won seven games and collected five draws since joining Al Ahli, while he is still unbeaten in Saudi Arabia.

Mosimane and his men are back in action on Saturday when they will host ninth-placed Al Qaisumah FC.
