Manyama Suffers New Setback – iDiski Times
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama suffered an injury setback and the season could be over for him.
Manyama was training with Cape Town City before going into the FIFA World Cup break.
The former Chiefs and City midfielder even took part in some friendly matches under Eric Tinkler, which was a good sign.
A few months ago, City’s head coach Eric Tinkler was quoted mentioning that the 32-year-old might return to the field of play in February after a long-term injury.
“So I think realistically January maybe February is the target for Lebo. But yeah, he got fifteen minutes but he is nowhere near the Lebo that we all know,” he said late October
But it now seems like his return won’t happen anytime soon as the former City midfielder suffered yet another injury.
According to a source Manyama has been in Johannesbur,g as he will be going for a check up.
Manyama hasn’t played a single official match in the current campaign after he was released by Amakhosi at the begging of the season.
