Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane anticipates a tough game when they face 10 times CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly in Cairo, saying it will be a big fight.

Masandawana travelled to Egypt last week as they had to play Al-Merrikh last Friday before preparing for Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly this evening in the Africa’s club elite tournament.

Heading into the match, Zwane are at the top of the group, having collected four points, while Al Ahly started their campaign with a 1-1 draw.

While admitting it’s not going to be an easy match, Mshishi vowed that the team will play like gladiators to come back with three points.

“As a team we are happy, we are on top of the log, but we know for sure that the job is not done yet, but so far so good,” Zwane told club’s media department.

“On Saturday we are playing against Al-Ahly, it’s going to be a fight and as a team, we are looking forward to giving it our all.

“We will approach the game by playing to our strength, which is to attack the team, create those chances and take them.

“Our strength is to move the ball quicker, creating more chances, and it’s important for us to manage the game very well knowing that we are playing away.

“We are grateful to our supporters, they are always there for us and our job is to make them happy all the time.”

The South African giants will face Al Ahly later today at the Al-Salam Stadium in Egypt.
