Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane praised Njabulo Ngcobo after his man of the match performance against Richards Bay.

Ngcobo made his first of the season on Saturday and produced a strong performance that made him a man of the match. He came in as a substitute against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday where they lost by 4-0.

‘10111’ praised the Amakhosi defender for his performance mentioning that the 28-year-old is a top defender and a risky one you need for the modern game.

“I’ll start with Njabulo (Ngcobo).” Zwane told SuperSport.

“Njabulo is a top defender and a risky defender for the modern game you need defenders who are arrogant like him but who also can see danger. So we still working on him and he did very well today for the team and his teammates because the most important thing is to boast the confidence into the players individually and Njabulo played very well and he defended very well.

“He deserves the man of the match award and I hope he will continue like this going forward. You know as a player sometimes you get to a situation where you want to play. Today he showed that.

“Football is a game of mistakes, tomorrow it’s gonna be someone else that doesn’t mean we should kill him. We need to build him also help him to get back to his feet. If we will go to each and every player that has made a mistake in the field then we will lose all our players.

“Players must know football is a game of mistakes but you need to minimise your mistakes in order to win your games. I think today Njabulo today is one of the best players he made less mistakes and that’s why we kept a clean sheet, also Brandon (Petersen) did very well.”
