Three months ago, messages of speedy recovery swamped the internet when the vocalist and soul singer Lira suffered a stroke. The musician was in Germany for a performance when her body temporarily gave in, and she suffered a stroke. According to her posts on social media, the stroke did not physically affect anything besides her speech. The musician has found the courage to fight her condition because of her fans and family’s support.

Recently seeing the progress on her Instagram page, it is clear that the actress is recovering quickly and returning to her healthy self. Like any other celebrity, she has started working on her music and promoting her work. The companies that Lira works for as a brand ambassador have also continued their contract with her. The vocalist is loaded, and her vast business empire is talked about in the South African industry.

Lira’s music career started when she was 16 years old and started perfoming. Mostly she covered other people’s songs and, a few times, her music. In only 2000, her talent was discovered by Arthur Mafokate, who then signed her to his record label called 999 music. Her debut album was only released in 2003, called All My Love. Her title track beat Beyonce’s Dangerously in love for the first position on radio charts.

Given that music is her primary income source and it has earned her many accolades. To her name, Lira has 11 SAMAs throughout her career and other awards. In 2015 Forbes listed her as one of the wealthiest female vocalists in Africa. She was reviewed as having a net worth above $35 million. Of course, some of that income was not earned through music alone. Later in the article, we talk about some of her businesses.
