Somizi shared his views on Beyonce’s new song, Break My Soul, and let’s say he didn’t think much of it; that was four days ago.

Somizi ensured we knew he was a big Beyonce fan just before the Beehive came for him.

Beyonce released her single Break, my soul from her upcoming album called Renaissance.

The song doesn’t even have a video yet, and it’s already breaking the internet, and it has received mixed reviews, mostly positive.

Somizi weighed in on the song, and, four days ago, he thought he’d wait for the video because, well, that’s where he reckons Bey will win him over.

It seems he has now backtracked!

Four days ago, Mhlongo said the song didn’t kick as much as he expected it to for him and that he had to listen to it for the second time to see if he would connect to it. In the first video he released, he said he thought the song sounded familiar and sounded a lot like a Brenda Fassie song called Nguyak’saba, and he also said it sounds like Arthur Mafokate could produce it.

The 49-year-old released a new video on Tik Tok, looking shocked and appreciative simultaneously.
Firstly he started singing Brenda Fassie’s Nguyak’saba and Makhendlas Ikinwe Phezulu lyrics to Beyonce’s beat, which fit perfectly.

Then he started to talk about how Genius the song is.

He started by saying he is not a jealous person and mentioned that the song might have similarities and sound familiar, but Bey did her thing.

According to her lyrics to the new song, Beyonce references the struggles a lot of people know and understand very well, about falling in love, wishing to leave their jobs and how hardworking causes so much anxiety that she cannot sleep. The song talks about the struggles people have been going through since the pandemic. When she released her self-titled album in 2013, she wondered why people still worked a 9 to 5, and now she has decided to leave her job.

These very lyrics are what made SomGaga Stan Beyonce’s Break My Soul.

Nandi Madida took to the comment section to mention that she doesn’t like the song, to which Mhlongo responded by saying he is with her but understands the genius. He says Beyonce knew that the 2orld would be talking about the music.

Break My Soul has trended since its release, and it looks like SomG is right about Bey’s genius.
