Uthongathi Are Not For Sale

Amidst social media reports that they have sold their GladAfrica Championship franchise, Uthongathi has released a statement denying it.

Social media was aflutter this week, as it was posted that one of the teams that missed out on promotion, the Eastern Cape side, Spear of the Nation, were buying a GladAfrica franchise, and Uthongathi was the club mentioned.

This has led the club to issue a response on their own social media platforms.

“There are circulating allegations/rumors that UFC management is selling the club status,” the statement read.

“You may be aware that these regrettable rumors have been circulating for almost every year.

“As a club we want to make it categorically clear that WE ARE NOT SELLING OUR CLUB STATUS and We would like to distance ourselves to the rumors.

“To anyone affected by these false rumors we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that may have been caused.”
