Dan Malesela’s future at Marumo Gallants looks increasingly uncertain with the head coach claiming he’s yet to open talks over a new contract.
Malesela has received widespread praise for his role at Gallants this season with an enterprising style of play which saw them retain their top-flight status and lead them to the Nedbank Cup final.
Despite losing to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium last month in the domestic cup competition it secured the club a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup final.
However, word reaching this website is that the club has not reached an agreement with the former TS Galaxy boss over extending his contract and a successor will be named before the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
“I’m still with Marumo for now,” he told iDiski Times. “My contract is expiring in June at the end of this month and I haven’t had talks with the club yet.”
Since taking over the helm at the Limpopo-based outfit in December he’s overseen nine wins, 10 draws and six defeats in 25 games across all competitions.
