Mosimane Completes CAF Pro License

Pitso Mosimane is once again flying the South African flag and will complete his CAF Pro License – the highest coaching certificate in Africa – in Morocco this week.
The South African tactician is one of 23 participants for the final module of the inaugural CAF Pro License coaching diploma in Rabat, Morocco, between 6 and 10 June this week in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF). The course was started in 2018 already but was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The course is the first of it’s kind and has many other high-profile coaches in attendance, including Senegal’s Aliou Cisse, who won the African Cup of Nations with the Indomitable Lions earlier in the year, as well as RS Berkane coach Florent Ibenge and Wydad Athletic Club coach Walid Regragui, whose side beat Mosimane’s Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final.
Mosimane is the only representative from South Africa and the COSAFA region as a whole at the course and the CAF Pro License is highest coaching badge by CAF, which is equivalent to any high ranking coaching qualification globally.
CAF’s Director of Development Raul Chipenda added the course marked a significant milestone for CAF’s ultimate goal of elevating African football to greater heights.
“Africa should take pride and celebrate this important milestone that we are about to achieve. We have assembled 23 of the best football managers on the continent currently, who are about to graduate and take the African game to even greater heights thanks to knowledge acquired over the last four years” Chipenda told CAFOnline.com.
“We must also extend our gratitude to the visionary leadership of CAF for making such a course possible. The knowledge that these coaches have acquired, accompanied by their experience can only bode well for the future of African football.”
