Sbahle Mpisane opens up on going under the knife

Fitness influencer Sbahle Mpisane has opened up about the personal struggles that led her to undergo cosmetic surgery.

Speaking during an interview with Thembuluwo ‘Owamie’ Netshivhazwaulu, the reality TV personality admitted that constantly comparing herself to other women online eventually made her question her own appearance.

The conversation, which resurfaced online, quickly sparked a wider debate about the impact of cyberbullying and unrealistic beauty standards.

Mpisane candidly explained that seeing other women on social media and reading comments about her body made her feel insecure about her bust, despite previously feeling confident about it.

“I knew I didn’t have the best bust because I would see other people and would be like, ‘Oh my God, if mine were that good,’” she said.

She added that although she tends to keep much of her life private, people on the internet often still find ways to criticise her appearance.

“Not much is known about me, but people try to find something to say,” she shared.

The procedure was carried out in Turkey, a destination that has become increasingly popular among celebrities seeking cosmetic treatments ranging from liposuction to Brazilian butt lifts.

While the breast augmentation is among her most widely discussed procedures, Mpisane revealed that it was not the first time she had undergone cosmetic work.

The fitness personality also had a rhinoplasty, which she explained was linked to injuries she sustained during her near-fatal car accident in 2018.

According to Mpisane, the crash left the bridge of her nose fractured, prompting her to seek treatment to restore its original shape.

“Due to damage from my car accident, I decided on this treatment to heighten my nasal bridge, giving it an elevation like before,” she explained.
