1 692 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths recorded in SA

South Africa has recorded 1,692 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

727 of those were identified in Gauteng with 361 in KwaZulu Natal and 330 in the Western Cape.

All other provinces recorded less than 100 new cases.

10 deaths were reported by the Department of Health with one occurring in the past 24-48 hours.

In the past two years, the country has seen more than three million positive cases and over 100,000 people have died.
