The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court has once again denied bail to Lekompo star Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, famously known as known as Shebeshxt.

According to the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court, the accused accused failed to justify that there are exceptional circumstances to permit his release on bail.

At the centre of the legal battle are a series of serious criminal charges brought against the ‘Rato Lala’ hitmaker. These reportedly include attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery with aggravating circumstances and firearm-related offences.

The charges are linked to a violent incident in Polokwane, where a victim was allegedly shot and seriously injured. The gravity of these accusations has played a significant role in the court’s cautious approach to bail.

His matter has been postponed to 15 May 2026 in the Polokwane Regional Court, and he will remain in custody.
