A 39 years Old police sergeant was suspended after it was discovered that he is allegedly playing a street snayman role by supplying inmates with dagga and alcohol in holding cells at Phalaborwa Police Station on New year’s Eve
After they were served enough, inmates started assaulting and raping one another in the holding cells.
“Several counts of assaults with intent to do grievous bodily harm and two counts of rape were reported. First two suspects aged 23 and 39 in custody for murder and other for robbery were subsequently arrested and charged for assault and rape” said Brig Motlafela Mojapelo
