Man Repeatedly Stabbed After Firearm Malfunctions During Robbery

In a harrowing incident on Monday afternoon, a man was repeatedly stabbed during a robbery in the Southridge area, KwaZulu-Natal. The victim, a 30-year-old individual, had just finished work and was returning home when he encountered a lone suspect.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the assailant was armed with a firearm. However, the robbery took an unexpected turn when the firearm malfunctioned, preventing the suspect from shooting the victim. Undeterred, the assailant switched to a knife and viciously attacked the victim.

The victim sustained multiple stab wounds before the suspect fled the scene, disappearing into the unknown. Authorities were alerted when the victim was found in overgrown vegetation on Primrose Drive. He was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
