Lamiez Holworthy reacts to rumors of being pregnant

A viral clip of Lamiez Holworthy performing at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026 pre-party in Durban has sparked pregnancy rumors.

The footage, which surfaced on TikTok, shows the popular DJ energising the crowd at Tiger’s Milk in Umhlanga, where she was performing during the build-up to the main awards ceremony.

While the set was well received, attention quickly shifted to her appearance, triggering unfounded pregnancy rumours just weeks after her wedding to musician Khuli Chana in Mahikeng on 11 April 2026.

As speculation spread online, Lamiez stepped in to address the chatter directly, firmly dismissing the claims and calling out the broader issue of people scrutinising women’s bodies.

“No, I’m not pregnant. It’s actually really sad that I even have to type this. Re basadi- our bodies go through the most like fibroids, cysts on our ovaries, endometriosis and other issues. Sometimes it really is just that time of the month or simple weight gain, but most importantly- STOP monitoring women’s wombs and policing their bodies! Thanks, bye. ❤️”

Her response has since been widely shared, with many applauding her for addressing not just the rumour, but also the recurring pressure women face when it comes to public speculation about their bodies.
