King Monada attacked for a no-show

King Monada real name Khutso Kgatle was attacked in his house after failing to pitch for a show.

The musician was reportedly paid to perform at a lodge in Limpopo, but he could not make it due to fatigue.

We sincerely apologise to our fans and anyone concerned for not making it to the event as scheduled. We had many gigs to attend at various places and due to the distance and time constraint we were not able to make it,” he said.

According to Zimoja, the owner of the lodge Peter Madupa of Madupa Lodge went to Monada’s double-storey house at the Mokgolobotho village outside Tzaneen, with a truck full of passengers and started throwing stones at the house.

“They violated the freedom of security and maliciously damaged the property of the family,” Monada said.

King Monada is set to take legal action against the owner of the lodge.

“We do not appreciate the manner in which the issue was handled by Mr Peter Madupa of Madupa Lodge, whom we held in high regard. This conduct is completely unacceptable and we consider taking legal action to protect the rights of King Monada and his family and to deter anyone from interfering with their rights,” the statement said.
